Bio
Island born native Hawaiian, multi ethnic raised on the Island of Maui. At the age of 6 my family moved to Honolulu, Island of Oahu settling into the Aiea community. For most of those years it was life as a closet mahu. Finally, at the age of 21, realized I am a mahuwahine and started a new life. At that time the only support I received was with my 'Family' at the House of Sei. This was a wonderful time. Filled with good and bad times. However, it did not matter as we were a 'family' (Transgendered sisters). At the age of 24 I made the move to Seattle and the mainland. I worked as a topless dancer throughout the regional area. A year later I had my SRS in Trinidad, Colorado under the skillfull hands of Dr. Stanley Biber.

I continued to dance around the country as a Headliner Burlesque Stripper/       Entertainer under stage name of KONA THE HAWAIIAN AMAZON and eventually relocated to Anchorage, Alaska. It was my home for many years. My husband and I met in Alaska, have spent the past 16 years together. I retired from dancing and began a career in retail, working my way up to a Management position. I have worked for a number of major retail companies in leadership from 10 to100 plus employees in Alaska, and California. Currently my vocation is in the Business Management field. My avocation brings me to
the area of assisting the transgender non profit groups in the San Francisco Bay area where I currently
                                                     live.

                                                       Mission Statement
Island Goddess Reunion was a dream in 2002, after a visit to Las Vegas. While I was there, I had dinner with my Queen Mother from the House of Sei -Lindsey- and other sisters. Some I had not seen in over 25 years. Being together again inspired me to dream of a reunion of old friends in 2004In preparation, I spent many hours networking with old friends and meeting many new ones over the phone and through email. To help in organizing Reunion, the Island Goddess Pages web site was created. We finally did have our 1st Island Goddess Reunion in July 2004 in fabulous Las Vegas. Since I returned from our reunion, I've felt a need to give back and help our transgendered sisters.

It  is my goal to someday have Island Goddess as a non profit group for the Transgendered in  Las Vegas & Bay Area, where there is a need for this. With focus of API target group. There are  two wonderful non profits that are models for the services they provide in their communites. The Asian Pacific Islander Wellness Center in San Francisco and Kulia Na Mamo in Honolulu. It is my goal and dream to follow in their foot steps. It is a direction I want to take Island Goddess.

In the meantime, we will be based on the internet and I will continue to spread the Island Goddess Aloha Spirit to the Bay area Transgendered Communities through the nonprofits. We will be an internet network for Island mahu wahine around the country. We are an Ohana with a rich and colorful history,  a beautiful mahuwahine subculture. We must remember where we came from and look toward a positive future. Most of all, Honor and Remember the sisters who have passed on. They paved the road we walk on today.

My goal is to meet my mahuwahines ( pre/post op) & mahukanes in Hawaii and the country. Have  yet to meet many who know or have heard of me thru the Island Goddess Pages Reunion web site. Looking forward meeting the younger generation...........and hope be able to bridge the generations  We all have something to learn from each other.....remember Beauty comes in all sizes , colors and ages............we are special.........treat yourself with respect....... Embrace and love the goddess within  you.
